Responsibilities
As a member of the Marketing & Communications team, you are a trusted leader, change agent, and the day to day manager of our Marketing Technology stack. The Digital Marketing Technologist will manage new technologies that are integral to the success of the entire marketing department’s ability to meet business goals.
This position will drive the selection, implementation, and maintenance of marketing technologies. In addition, they will serve as a marketing stack subject matter expert and be able to train the Marketing & Communications and Sales teams on selected new technologies and drive adoption. This position will be a key stakeholder in ensuring the Marketing & Communications and Sales departments work efficiently through new technology offerings to drive revenue and provide exceptional customer experiences in an evolving global environment.
The Digital Marketing Technologist will develop a broad understanding of the travel industry and how the ATPCO products are utilized. This position requires a general knowledge of the ATPCO product portfolio and a basic understanding of ATPCO’s Life Cycle of the Fare. In addition, this individual will be responsible to cultivate their personal knowledge of the travel industry through active reading, discussions with industry contacts, and participation at trade events and conferences.
- Works with the Senior Marketing Operations Specialist to research and evaluate different technology offerings to support the departments’ goals. Includes presenting different marketing technology solutions to senior management and recommendations for the tools and software that will best support the team’s needs
- Works with the strategist to manage the daily operations of the technology stack
- Evaluates marketing technology to identify the latest features, tools, software available that will best support marketing and sales functions
- Coordinates training of new technology is provided and will be the expert for the team to reach out to for assistance.
- Drives adoption of new technology through sharing the technologies value in marketing and sales operations
- Works with analyst to determine the success of implemented marketing technology and the return of the investment made
Essential functions:
Marketing Technology Leadership
- Lead Marketing & Sales team to pilot new marketing technologies and track effectives of the technology and its ability to accelerate contact and conversion rates
- Research different technology offerings to meet business needs
- Understand marketing best practices and align with technology solutions
- Evaluate competitors to determine the right solutions
- Manage new technologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver timely and effective results
- Understand the technology landscape and user trends
- Understand brand objectives and target audiences
Analyze Technology Offerings
- Measure and analyze marketing technology effectiveness
- Optimize marketing initiatives through technology solutions
Training & Technology Adoption
- Provide technical expertise and system knowledge to clients and internal staff to ensure effective design of digital programs and help achieve ATPCO's digital customer and product marketing goals
- Educate senior leadership and the Marketing & Sales team on the use of technology to reach our customers and drive sales
- Ensure teams are trained in new technology solutions
- Servie as the subject matter expert for support
- Drive adoption rate and manage usage across Marketing & Sales team
Education Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field preferred
Work experience
- 5+ years of marketing technology project management or digital technology management
- 3+ years of managing highly-complex digital marketing projects including hand on experience working with marketing automation platforms
- 3+ years of experience and knowledge of best practices in current demand generation tactics of B2B
- Experienced in Marketing Automation, CMS, and CRM selection and onboarding
- Experience in a marketing, communications or related position; prior work experience in a technology or travel industry a plus
- Experience working in culturally diverse, creative, team oriented and collaborative environments
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and conscientiously with an attention to detail
