DUTIES
- Design digital logic circuits and digital filters for applications including Mixed Signal Audio converters and amplifiers, Embedded SoC, Power/Energy Management, high precision Industrial/Data Acquisition products; design using Verilog, logic simulation, functional verification, & synthesis of DSP & data conversion ICs in a mixed signal environment. Implement RTL modules; performing integration and integrated functional verification; perform behavioral modeling of analog and mixed signal circuits, vector generation testing, and lab test development.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science in one of the foregoing fields plus seven years of experience or a PhD in one of the foregoing fields plus three years of experience. In all cases, experience must include 3 years of experience in writing Verilog RTL and 3 years of experience in lab test/debugging of digital logic circuits. In addition, the position requires: an understanding of the digital design flow steps including architecture, design, validation, and design integration sufficient to take a design from concept to RTL implementation; an understanding of high-level modeling tools such as Matlab, Simulink, or similar sufficient to sufficient to model and analyze open-loop and closed-loop systems; an understanding of control theory and discrete time, z-domain, and signal processing techniques sufficient to sufficient to design/debug closed-loop systems.
