About Houston
ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play on our team
We are looking for a Digital Content Strategy Advisor who will be responsible for content delivery, operations, project management and strategy planning for ExxonMobil's corporate web presence. We are constantly looking for creative ways to elevate our brand and streamline content operations to achieve business goals, and this role will play a critical part in this effort.
What you will do
- Assist with driving strategic direction and day-to-day activities associated with managing ExxonMobil’s corporate website to ensure compelling content
- Provide strategic guidance to various stakeholders for implementation of new content and digital tactics
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, agency partners, web developers and design teams on key initiatives such as search, analytics, content strategy, layout, design, development and other areas as needed
- Work closely with corporate, regional, divisional and local site representatives to ensure broad understanding of and alignment with external communications strategies
- Assist with search strategy, analytics reporting, insights and recommendations with support from agency partners
- Stay up to date with current trends/developments and generate new ideas
- Train internal stakeholders on web content best practices and design elements to ensure continual improvement to our corporate website engagement
- Use data and feedback to refine content approaches and increase user engagement
- Collaborate with content writers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure web pages have the necessary content and align with content governance (AP Style, EM Brand, UX consistency, Accessibility, Data Privacy, etc.)
About you
Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for someone with strong organizational and project management skills, and a passion for storytelling and collaboration. They will be professional with excellent people skills and a track record for delivering results to support multiple projects in a rapidly evolving environment. You have:
- Familiarity and interest in issues related to energy, economics, the environment, sustainability, corporate citizenship and government relations
- Strong layout and design skills and expertise working with site components and interactive visual elements and graphics
- Writing and editing skills
- Storytelling and expertise with holistic user experience / user journey
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (in communications, digital marketing, journalism, advertising, or related field preferred)
- Proven experience in content strategy, digital marketing, and strong writing and editing skills
- Experience with CMS platforms (Sitecore, SharePoint)
- Google analytics, Similar web or other related tools
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Excellent organizational and project and change management skills
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights
- Work on tight deadlines and within the real time, fast-paced environment of digital and social communications
- Ability to quickly understand, assimilate and communicate complex issues
- Knowledge: Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and web design basics
- Familiarity and interest in issues related to energy, economics, the environment, sustainability, corporate citizenship and government relations
