Position Description
As a Digital Asset Management (DAM) Specialist at Applied Medical, you will be pivotal in enhancing our internal processes and systems. You will be at the forefront of our custom applications and digital asset projects, working closely with internal customers to understand their needs and translate them into actionable technical specifications. Your expertise will guide the development and implementation of innovative solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our internal digital asset management processes and systems.
- You will be at the forefront of our DAM projects and custom applications, working closely with internal customers to understand their needs and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
- Your expertise in digital asset management will guide the development and implementation of innovative solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness across our organization.
- Lead discovery sessions with business units to gather and document requirements.
- Develop detailed specifications and functional requirements for developers and design teams.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, QA teams, IT systems, and other stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to support decision-making.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and implementation plans to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide feedback for improvements.
- Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and configurations for implemented systems.
- Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Position Requirements:

- Develop detailed specifications and functional requirements for developers and design teams, with a focus on DAM systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, QA teams, IT systems, and other stakeholders to define the scope and objectives of digital asset management projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to support decision-making for DAM system implementation and enhancements.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and implementation plans to ensure the successful delivery of DAM-related projects.
- Perform data management and analysis within the context of DAM systems to support business decision-making related to digital content and asset lifecycle management.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for DAM systems and provide feedback for improvements.
- Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and configurations for implemented DAM systems, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization.
- Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on DAM best practices.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- Mentor junior business analysts and guide best practices in digital asset management.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, with a focus on DAM systems.
- Support the development and maintenance of digital asset management systems.
- Assist in XSLT development or configurations as needed, specifically for DAM-related projects.
Working Relationships:
- Work closely with internal departments, including technical teams, project managers, and business stakeholders, to ensure successful project outcomes.
Position Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in the context of digital asset management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders in DAM projects.
- Proficiency in creating detailed requirements and functional specifications for DAM systems.
- Experience with DAM systems such as Censhare, Orange Logic, or similar etc. is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of XSLT development or configurations, especially as it relates to DAM systems.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions specifically for digital asset management.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, particularly in managing DAM projects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in the context of digital asset management.
- Understanding of design principles as they apply to DAM systems.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, especially in DAM-related specifications.
- Experience with SAP and Jama software a plus.
- Knowledge of XSLT development or configurations a plus.
- Familiarity with digital asset management systems a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, related field , or equivalent experience.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) is a plus.
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field with a strong emphasis on digital asset management.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and stakeholder management, particularly in DAM-related projects.
- Experience writing detailed requirements for developers and design teams.
- This position is focused on Digital Asset Management and is not a Data Analyst or Data Scientist or Business Intelligence role.
- This role will based onsite in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.
