About the Job
- JOB SUMMARY
- Works closely with the Nutritional Services Department and interdisciplinary health care team to provide both inpatient and outpatient nutritional services to individuals and groups. Nutritional services will be integrated and compatible with patient-centered medical goals and objectives including nutrition related problems, chronic disease management, disease prevention and wellness. Applies evidence-based nutrition practice guidelines, instructional methods and tools to services provided. Will work closely with patient care coordinators regarding diabetic education and will assist with building community programs. Majority of work may be completed virtually.

- Demonstrates the ability to organize tasks and function independently
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of health care personnel

Knowledge-
- Knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process and ability to apply all steps of the process
- Comprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy
- Knowledge of human behavior and techniques for affecting behavior change
- General knowledge of nutrient analysis and strong computer skills, to include Excel

Education-
- Master’s degree in dietetics, food and nutrition, or related field
- Must be a Registered Dietitian

Experience-
- Two (2) years experience as a clinical dietitian preferred
