Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a full-time inpatient position at Kent Hospital, located in Warwick, RI. This 359-bed teaching hospital is part of the Care New England system. Selected candidate will primarily cover the ICU. Dietitians at Kent have the opportunity to cross-train at Woman & Infants Hospital and Butler Psychiatric Hospital.

Reporting to the System Clinical Nutrition Manager, the successful candidate will:
- provide nutritional care for patients on the ICU;
- work every 5th weekend providing hospital wide coverage;
- provide quarterly group education to patients in support groups;
- perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays, as assigned;
- educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses; and
- precept dietetic interns.
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:
- Registered Dietitian credential and licensure in RI;
- two or more years’ experience, with some experience providing care in the ICU;
- excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups;
- strong verbal and written communication skills; and
- the ability to work with minimal oversight in collaboration with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
