Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center is hiring Part-Time Dietary Utility Aide for the Day and Evening shifts, includes weekends and holidays.

 Utility staff are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, glassware, pots, pans and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods. Additionally, utility staff are expected to keep the dishwashing and main kitchen area clean and safe. Assist in food preparation and serving; maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas under the supervision of the Dietary Director. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

·        Meet physical and sensory requirements stated below, and be able to work in the described environment. 

·        Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance work flow, and/or improve the work environment 

·        Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dish machine 

·        Wash and sanitize all pans utensils, and dishes. 

·        Clean, sanitize, and maintain dish machine 

·        Unload dishes and utensils from dish machine and properly organize to assure that they are properly dried

·        Empty trash containers regularly 

·        Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed 

·        Perform additional cleaning duties as requested 

·        Clean and maintain food prep stations and equipment as assigned

·        Help Dietary Aide position as needed

·        Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks as needed

·        Stock and store food items from deliveries, as assigned. 

·        Report hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents and incidents, as necessary 

·        Other special projects and duties, as assigned

Job Requirements: 

·        High school diploma or GED required or equivalent related work experience

·        Experience in hospital or long-term care facility dietary department preferred 

·        Effective verbal and written English communication skills  

·        Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality 

·        Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure

·       Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize

 Primary Physical Requirements

·       Lift up to 25 lbs: Constantly/ Lift 26 to 50 lbs: Occasionally

·       Carry up to 10 lbs: Constantly/ Carry up to 11 to 25 lbs: Frequently

·       Reach above and below shoulder height
