Job Summary
As a Food Service Manager, you will oversee all food and service production personnel and manage the kitchen and back-of-house operations. Your responsibilities include supervising the food services program, ensuring compliance with sanitation regulations, managing food and beverage employees, and maintaining interactions with residents and other departmental staff. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality dining experiences while adhering to budgetary and regulatory standards.
Pay Rate
Pay Rate: $58,000-$70,000 annually

Duties and Responsibilities
As a Food Service Manager, your responsibilities include:
Managing the preparation of menus, food products, and meal service in dining venues, ensuring high presentation standards.
Overseeing food production for the Long-Term Care community and planning food services for in-house catering.
Conducting regular food and supply inventories and maintaining compliance with food vendor regulations.
Planning and promoting a dietary food services program that meets residents' tastes and menu requirements.
Coordinating with the Administrator to plan or modify menus and prepare meal cost summaries.
Adhering to budget guidelines and ensuring efficient purchasing of food, kitchen supplies, and equipment.
Managing food production and sanitation processes within expense guidelines and identifying revenue-enhancing opportunities.
Ensuring compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations related to health, safety (OSHA), and food service operations.
Coordinating with the Administrator to plan special events and attending staff and resident meetings to advise on dietary matters.
Performing other duties as assigned to support the dietary services program.

Qualifications and Skills
To excel as a Food Service Manager, you will need:
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification (required).
Previous leadership and management experience (required).
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
