Dietary Manager - Cascades at Galveston

Job Description:

• Responsible for food purchasing, meal production, and timely meal service.
• Direct and supervise all dietary personnel including hiring/firing, orientation, training, work schedules, etc.
• Conducts employee performance reviews.
• Conduct daily kitchen inspections to ensure the foodservice production area is safe and sanitary.
• Inspects storage areas on a weekly basis for proper temperatures, cleanliness, and order.
• Properly document department activities and submit reports to administration as required.
• Work with the facility Administrator to meet budgetary guidelines.
• Participates in department head meetings.

Requirements:

• Certified Dietary Manager certification is required
• Strong understanding of Federal, State, and local rules and regulations regarding nursing home dietary requirements
• Prior foodservice experience in a long-term care setting is highly preferred
• Minimum one-year prior supervisory experience is preferred
