About Hospice of Wichita Falls
For over 32 years, Hospice of Wichita Falls has been the only non-profit community-based hospice in the area, providing services in 12 North Texas counties. Our wonderful nursing staff meets our patients and families where they are, private homes, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and our free standing 12 bed inpatient center. It is our goal to provide premier care while honoring and upholding the patient's wishes whenever possible.

Your life as a Dietary Cook
Your role is very important to our patients and organization. We meet our patients where they are and this position will serve our patients in Wichita, Archer, Clay, Jack Montague and Young counties. We will rely on you to ensure that we support ourstaff in making sure that our patients and families meals are prepared. We work as a team so there will be a need to interact with other members of our team to provide support for patients with special request and be willing to prepare foods on short notice. You will also maintain a clean and safe work area and keep a list of items that need to be restocked. Our schedules are generally 6:30 am to 5:00 pm Sunday thru Satday. Days will be on a rotating schedule.
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and follow recipes.
- Ability to prepare meals as directed by Dietary Manager.
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures.
- Capable of following accepted standards of dietary practice.
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrates competency as defined.
- Ability to advance in computer knowledge.
- Ability to be at work as scheduled and alert/awake.
