Autumn Terrace Health and Rehab is looking for a dedicated Chef/Cook for a key full time position. This position would work closely with our Dietary Manager to prepare high quality meals for our residents! Hours will vary and will include some mornings,evenings and weekends. Position Summary:
Assists in the preparation and/ or service of meals/ food for patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Dietary Manager. Serves food and snacks according to the planned menu/spreadsheet and the patient’s/resident's food preferences and diet order.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Using proper food handling/ safety techniques prepares quality food of the proper quantity
- Completes task on time as scheduled, and is in accordance with the menu & residents’ diet order
- May perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Experience in food prep and service preferred.
- Food handler’s permit Required
- Superior customer service skills required
- Must be able to pass a criminal background screening
