Available Shifts:
- Full Time 6:30am - 2:30pm Every Other Weekend
- Full Time: 11:30am - 7:30pm Every Other Weekend
- Part Time 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Essential Functions of Dietary Aide:
- Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets.
- Prepare and deliver items as requested by resident care units or residents.
- Maintain tray line in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
- Prepare special diet foods as necessary.
- Deliver food carts to patient care units. Return carts to kitchen at designated times.
- Load and oversee dishwashers and log and record wash/rinse temperatures.
- Wash specified items by hand. Example – Pots, pans, knives.
- Dispose of trash and garbage in appropriate manner.
- Put clean dishes and utensils away
- Mop floors as scheduled and as necessary.
- Clean walk-in refrigerators and storage areas. Maintain dry storage areas by logging temperatures daily and handling the unpacking, dating, and rotating of food and non-food supplies.
- Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and other nourishments.
- Performs special cleaning duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor
- Maintain good working relationship within the department and with other departments.
- Treat residents and guest with respect and dignity.
- Always observe infection prevention and control practices.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
- Perform all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
- Perform other task and duties as assigned.
Qualifications of Dietary Aide:
- High School Diploma or general equivalency is preferred
- 1 year of experience is preferred
- Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
