Dietary Aide- This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who wants a career in culinary services. We’re willing to train, come join our team!
Position Summary:
Provide assistance and support in all food functions including preparation, processing, delivery to patients, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as requested
- Help with meal preparation in accordance with patient dietary needs
- Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
- Timely setting up of meal service, maintenance of food carts and delivery of meal trays
- Adheres to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
- Keeps work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize counter tops, etc.)
- Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc.
- Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
- Collect and carry out garbage
- Dispose of food and waste per facility regulations
- Prep food supplies for the next meal
- Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times
