Dietary Aide
Parkway Health Care Center, a 97 bed facility just east of the Plaza is looking for a dietary aide, that wants to make a difference in our residents life's, through the dietary department.
Responsibilities:
· Preparing meals, snacks and beverages following specific procedures
· Serving meals, ensuring food safety and hygiene procedures are always followed
· Taking inventory of kitchen supplies and food items
· Staying current on the individual procedures and protocols for their facilities, including state-specified rules and regulations
· Setting up and taking down dining areas and assisting with kitchen maintenance and general cleaning
· Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
· Load and unload dishwashing machines
· Wash specific items by hand (e.g., wooden cutting boards, large pots)
· Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately
· Set up workstations before meal prep begins
· Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours
· Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g., detergents) and notify Supervisor needed orders when necessary
· Check dish washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
· Remove garbage regularly
· Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor
· Do daily log check
· Clean and sanitize assigned unit daily
