Job Summary

The Dietary Aide performs a variety of food service functions in maintaining clean and sanitary conditions of food service areas, facilities, and equipment. He/she may also assist in some aspects of food preparation.

Requirements

Handles food and equipment according to corporate, local, state and federal sanitation policies and procedure
Delivers food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas as instructed by the supervisor
Performs daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures
Must possess working knowledge of the methods and techniques of handling and serving food
Must have the ability to follow diet lists, portion foods as specified, and serve food in an appetizing manner
Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
