Dietary Aide

New York Congregational Nursing Center is now hiring a full-time Dietary Aide. Responsibilities of the Dietary Aide:

• Assist in identified aspects of food preparation.
• Handle food and equipment responsibly according to sanitation policies and procedures
• Deliver food carts, trays, etc. to designated areas as instructed by supervisor.
• Provide an enhanced dining service, serving meals in dining rooms and preparing and delivering snacks as directed.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Requirements of the Dietary Aide:

• High School Diploma/GED Required.
• Must have experience working in a healthcare facility, 1 year preferred.
• Must have experience working a tray line, 1 year preferred. 
• Ability to follow diet lists, portion food as specified and serve food in an appetizing manner.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
