POSITIONSUMMARY
Responsibleforprovidingassistancein alldietaryfunctionsasdirected/instructedandinaccordance withtheestablisheddietary policiesandprocedures.Responsibleforassistinginthepreparation and servingof food in accordancewithcurrent federal,stateand local standards, guidelines and regulations withestablishedpoliciesandprocedures,andasmaybedirectedbythecookornutritionalservices supervisor to assurethatqualityfoodservice isprovidedatalltimes.
ESSENTIALPOSITIONDUTIES
1. Reportstoandfollows instructions given bythecook.Thecooks arein chargewhentheNOSis not available.
2. Maintain a cleanandpresentable appearance free fromoffensive odors, clean shavedand appropriate haircut.
3. Wearassigneddietaryaideuniform.
4. Monitorclientsforchanges.Notifynurseofchangeswith clientsorbehaviorissueswithclients.
5. Set-upmealtrays,foodcart,asinstructed,formeal service.
6. Servemealspercompany protocol.
7. Assistcookinthepreparationoffood.
8. Assistsinservingmealsasdirected in atimelymanner and per established instruction sheets and serving sizes.
9. Properlysortandwashlaundryaccordingtocompanypolicy
10. Assistwithclienttransport,pendentresetsandotherclientneedssuchasbutnotlimitedto cutting food and etc.
11. Clean workstations,coolers, walk in,carts, stove, steam table, sink, equipment,ect,per schedule orasnecessary in accordance withpolicies andprocedures.
12. Washesdishes,includingoperatingdishmachineandhandwashing.
13. Returndishes,pots,pans,utensils andetctotheproper storagelocations.
14. Assurestockitemsneededforthenextmealareobtainedusingthestockingchecklist.
15. Checkdietaryrestrictionsbeforeservingclients.
16. Announcesdeliveryofroomtrays,carts,etc..,todesignatedareas.
17. Ensuresadaptivedevices aredistributedpertray or clientasinstructed.
18. Prepares andstores allfood inaccordance with sanitary regulations as wellas withour established policies and procedures.
19. Ensuredepartmentis keptinaneat,cleanandsafematteratalltimes.
20. Maintainsfoodstorageareasarekeptneat,cleanandinasafemanneratalltimes.
21. Disposeoffoodandwasteinaccordancewithestablishedpolicies.
22. MakeDietarySupervisorandChargeNurseawareifaclientisstrugglingwithsomething.
23. Assistsininventoryandstoringincomingfoodandsuppliesasnecessaryfollowing sanitary regulations.
24. Encouragespiritorcooperationandteamworkwithcoworkers.
