Diesel Technician/ Mechanic - MMS Manufacturing

About the Job
The Diesel Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems in a variety of vehicles, including trucks, buses, and construction equipment. They will perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tune-ups, and brake repairs, as well as more complex repairs and troubleshooting. They will also inspect vehicles for compliance with safety regulations, and provide recommendations for further repairs or maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems
- Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tune-ups, and brake repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair complex issues
- Diagnose and repair engine faults
- Replace worn or damaged parts
- Inspect vehicles for compliance with safety regulations
- Provide recommendations for further repairs or maintenance
- Outfit vehicles with custom parts and electrical components
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with diesel engines
- ASE certification is a plus
- Attention to detail
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A degree or diploma in diesel technology or a related field is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in a related field is a plus
- Must have a valid driver's license
Salary info:
$26 - $32 / hr
