Diesel Technician Instructor - TransChicago Truck Group

What you will be doing
As a Technician Trainer you will be responsible for Class 5-8 equipment training, diagnostics, and safety training of technicians for a high-level fleet customer with multiple locations within your region. The job responsibilities are outlined below.
 

• Responsible for conducting training courses for new and existing TransChicago technicians. 
• Responsible for conducting training courses for technicians from other Freightliner dealers and TransChicago customers. 
• Partner with service managers regarding employee training needs. 
• Organize, develop, or source training programs to meet specific training needs. 
• Inform technicians about training options. 
• Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching. 
• Provide feedback to program participants and management. 
• Attend continuing education courses to learn about new products and repair/diagnostic techniques.
• Maintain in-house training facilities and equipment as needed.
• Attend technician career events
• High school diplomas or general education degree. 
• Expert Certification on Freightliner, M2, Detroit Required. 
• ASE Master Certification Required. 
• 1 year of related or industry experience Required.  
• 5 years of Dealership experience Preferred.
• 2 years as a trainer with presentation of curriculum in a classroom setting preferred.
