Diesel Mechanic/Technician - First Shift - Interstate Companies, Inc

Interstate Power System�s is looking for an Experienced First Shift Diesel Mechanic/Technician(s) for our Butler, Wisconsin location.

We are currently seeking Diesel Mechanic/Technician(s) to join our team who are specializing in Freightliner, Detroit, Allison, Cummins, CAT products, MTU and more!We are offering highly competitive wages!

First Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Diesel Technician Pay Range: $25.00-$40.00 per hour depending on experience and skill level.

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Job Duties

• Responsible for repairing, maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment.
• Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and make necessary repairs.
• Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.
• Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
• Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.
• Meet requirements for certifications.

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Requirements

• Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders)
• A minimum of 3 years� experience working with diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks
• Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable.
• Must possess an excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.
• Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus.
• Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions, Drive Train, and Automatic Transmissions.

• Technical degree or certification a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have own set of general tools.
