Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic with a specialization in tanker trailers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of our tanker trailer fleet, ensuring all vehicles are in optimal working condition and comply with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and tanker trailer systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with tanker trailers, including brakes, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
Collaborate with the operations team to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks.
Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order and properly maintained.
Provide emergency repair services as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
Prefer 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a focus on tanker trailers.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and tanker trailer-specific components.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
