Diesel Mechanic - Prestage

Prestage Farms of Iowa is looking for a service mechanic at our truck shop to perform basic maintenance on trucks, trailers & farm equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Service maintenance on trucks, trailers, & farm equipment

·       General repairs on trucks, trailers & farm equipment including but not limited to: tires, brakes, wiring, welding & fabrication

·       Perform roadside repairs as needed with use of company service truck

·       Document detailed steps taken for repairs

·       Clean work bay when repairs are complete

·       Follow general safety rules for each job. Ear/eye protection, leather boots, safety cages, etc.

Requirements

·        Prior experience is highly preferred, but not required

·        Ability to work in a team environment

·        Possess a strong attention to detail

·        Clean driving record

·        Class A CDL a plus, but not required
