We are seeking an Auto/Diesel Mechanic for a maintenance position in Baton Rouge, LA. This position repairs automotive equipment, including but not limited to, trucks, carts, buggies, air compressors, welding machines, cranes, dirt equipment and trailers. Non-exempt role; Reports to Direct Supervisor / Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Essential Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of experience
- General gasoline and diesel engine knowledge
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment
- Organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and work self-directed and alone at times
- ASME certified preferred
- Technical training and/or industrial related safety experience
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace
Functional Requirements:
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various automotive and heavy equipment, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment
