As a tool and die maker, you will be creating precision tools and metal forms called dies to cute, shape, and form materials. You will also make jigs, fixtures, gauges, and other measuring devices for a spring manufacturing company in Chicago.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine operator as a tool and die maker.

Die cutting metal springs in specific shapes using custom made die, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the production run by adjusting machine settings. Feeding materials, and performing basic maintenance checks as needed.

Also as a tool and die maker, you will be creating precision tools and metal forms called dies to cute, shape, and form materials. You will also make jigs, fixtures, gauges, and other measuring devices for a spring manufacturing

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a die cutter
• Previous experience as a tool and die maker
• Loading dies into the machine, adjust feed guides
• Machine Set ups
• Inspecting cut pieces for accuracy, and checking for defects .
• Machine maintenance, troubleshooting machine
• Analyze specifications and calculate dimensions of workpieces and products.
• Fitting and assembling parts
