Maximus is currently hiring for Diagnostic Scheduling Communication Specialists to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. This is a remote opportunity. The Diagnostic Scheduling Communication Specialist is responsible for handling incoming scheduling communications and dispersing provider and facility information to team members. Additionally, they help with specialized administrative functions to supplement the regional teams, Team Support Specialists, and the Team Lead.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Monitor and process Pending CAPS schedule status; - Respond to Appointment Notification emails accordingly; - Run daily VA mileage report for MYVES; - Check and redirect messages left on Scheduling Hunt Group voicemail daily and each hour during shift to ensure calls are responded to in a timely manner; - Answer and redirect calls made to the Scheduling Hunt Group; - Assist with sending CAPS manually for BPR's, NP Testing, & Follow- up exams; Additional Duties and Responsibilities: - Assist with calling veterans for reschedules; - Assist with processing reschedules; - Assist with priority DOC calls if needed - Assist with performing audits - Assist with running various reports Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Must be adept in the use of verbal and written communications, and have some knowledge of medical terminology to converse with physicians; - Able to liaise with other departments in order to establish and maintain interdepartmental communications to maximize overall productivity; - Knowledge of the company's policies and procedures, especially scheduling procedures; - The ability to build and grow positive relationships with both co- workers and providers in order to motivate and inspire their desires to achieve their maximum performances for the company; and - Must be able to work under pressure with a keen skill in problem solving, which at times will need to find a solution in a moments' notice.
Minimum Requirements
High school graduate; some college preferred; scheduling experience and/or training in company's policies and procedures for scheduling.
Ability to work a training schedule of 8:00am - 5:00pm CT Monday - Friday required
Experience assisting customers over the phone highly preferred
Medical assisting or medical office experience preferred

A second monitor is highly recommended for most positions

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
