Position Summary

We are seeking candidates who are exceptional, innovative, and passionate software engineers who want to grow with us. You will be on the ground floor of a new effort to design, develop, test, and employ an effects-based simulation toolkit. This is a rare opportunity to create tools to generate viable data for use in analysis to inform national security decisions. You will provide technical advice as well as design and implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) patterns to enable analytical toolkit modernization to meet customers’ current and future needs.

The chosen candidate will be employed on a full-time basis, primarily at the Trideum corporate office in Huntsville, AL. This position offers some flexibility for a hybrid work schedule, depending on project requirements. The person in this role will provide software development of modeling and analysis tools, and integration into a common environment for Joint and Army campaign analysis.

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to develop new software tools and create major enhancements to existing software. The role requires creativity and flexibility of patterns while abiding by industry standards and policies as well as Department of Defense (DoD) software development policies and regulations. You will take part in design and code reviews and offer direction to ensure project scoping activities match architectural goals and specifications. When new applications are introduced or current ones undergo changes, you will work with Trideum team members in other business sectors to provide build solutions. Other responsibilities include documenting DevSecOps processes and ensuring that the DevSecOps platforms are up-to-date and properly maintained. In this role, the candidate must be able to analyze user needs, conceptualize solutions, determine the feasibility of design, and know how to apply new technologies to allow for improvement to existing or development of new critical software applications within our client organization.

What You’ll Do

• Transform customer requirements into a technologically advanced, high-performing software architecture within program technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Work in a high-performance environment using Agile Software Development processes to support system design, architecture, application development, integration, deployment, and maintenance.
• Create, develop, and implement solutions to address infrastructure and security requirements.
• Identify the needs for building automation, designing, and implementing CI/CD solutions.
• Consult on DevSecOps requirements from diverse applications/lines of customers.
• Create plug-and-play/reusable solutions and patterns for CI/CD pipelines.
• Create, develop, and implement automation and system integration for various build platforms.
• Publish and disseminate CI/CD best practices, patterns, and solutions.
• Ensure that the service’s uptime and response time customer service level agreements (SLAs) and Trideum operational level agreements (OLAs) are met or surpassed.
• Build or maintain CI/CD building blocks and shared libraries proactively for application and development teams to enable quicker build and deployment.
• Design action plans to address CI/CD platform/tools/solutions’ constraints and shortcomings.
• Actively participate in meetings with team members and customers to prevent or quickly address problems.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve DevSecOps domain problems in a timely manner.
• Update incident tracking tools in accordance with established norms and processes, gather all essential data, and document any discoveries and concerns.
• Identify management concerns and problems, assess them, and offer prompt solutions and/or escalation.
• Align with technological Systems/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes as well as DoD and industry-standard service management principles.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
• Author or assist in the writing of system specification manuals, technical reports, and user manuals.
• Effectively and clearly communicate project status, design concepts, and performance metrics to project leadership.
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends by experimenting with and learning new technologies.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or applicable engineering or science field.
• 5+ years of DevSecOps experience for actual programs/projects (not academic).
• Comprehensive technical expertise in a variety of DevSecOps toolkits, including Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira, Black Duck, Terraform, Git/Version Control Software, or comparable technologies.
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C, C++, C#, Java, Python, etc.).
• Familiarity with information security frameworks and standards.
• Knowledge of DevOps Automation (e.g., TerraFrom, GitHub, GitHub Actions, etc).
• Knowledge of Nesus, Prisma cloud, SIEM, SOC, Crowd strike, or similar services.
• Familiarity with API Security, Container Security, and AWS Cloud Security.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS, HIPPA, SOX, GDPR, and CCPA Standards and Policies and the associated certification and audit processes.
• Familiarity with Amazon AWS policy, configuration, and security management tools.
• Experience with security automation and machine learning.
• Proven capacity for thinking leadership and a highly creative problem-solver.
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to express technical information clearly at different organizational levels.
• Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously as well as with large and small teams of programmers.
• United States citizen
• Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to receive a TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
