High Level Role Description:
Our client's Enterprise DevOps Engineering group is seeking a DevOps Engineering Senior Advisor to join our Artifacts and Deployment team. We internally build DevOps products that are used across our IT delivery organization as well as leverage several licensed products. Critical technical skills include familiarity with AWS, Linux, Artifactory, Xray and containers, as well as the common DevOps activities, practices and techniques found in highly automated environments. Critical skills include the ability to drive DevOps best practices across the team as well as plan and strategize on near-term and longer-term projects.
Candidates for this position will have administered and supported an Artifactory and Xray environment for delivery teams. They must understand the importance of quality and responsiveness in meeting customer expectations. Success in this position requires you to be a self-motivated team player and an open-minded contributor who can help the team reach it its larger goals.

Responsibilities
- Support CI/CD tools integration/ operations/ change management and maintenance.
- Enhance and/or build standards and guidelines for internal users to use our tools effectively.
- Direct interaction with internal IT community to answer questions on the best use of our tools
- Ownership of custom DevOps tools internally built to drive a reduction in time to market.
- Through a hands-on approach, conduct software engineering code reviews and deliver innovative software tools, technologies, and application frameworks. Maintain deep levels of involvement in the implementation process.
- Ask questions, take risks and champion new ideas.
- Business oriented and able to communicate to internal engineering customers as well as leadership
- Ensure adherence to existing DevOps enterprise direction and architectural strategies.
- Function as a hands-on member of the DevOps teams - guiding & mentoring team to design, document, develop, test, deploy and maintain products and solutions.
- Support our JFrog Artifactory and Xray SaaS instances.

- Are passionate about all things DevOps in design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in Software Development and Best Practices.
- Significant experience with administering artifact repositories and scanning tools.
- Highly skilled with the JFrog suite of tools (focused on Artifactory and Xray).
- Skilled in all aspects of the container management lifecycle.
- Comfortable following versioning and release strategies with git/GitHub.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (such as Ansible or Terraform).
- Experience with build tools (such as Maven, Gradle or Please).
