Background
We are currently seeking a qualified DevOps Engineer to help enhance our CI/CD pipeline, containerize and migrate our on-prem applications into AWS /hybrid cloud and manage orchestration through Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include
+ Develop and implement scripts and automation tools to build security, reliability, and scalability into the CI/CD pipeline.
+ Troubleshoot build and deployment issues.
+ Containerize existing . NET and React applications.
+ Create and maintain Helm templates.
+ Cluster orchestration through Kubernetes.
+ Monitor and respond to cluster/instance health and security alerts/tools.
+ Work with QA automation engineers, developers and the security team to integrate testing tools into the pipeline.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications include:
+ Requires a Bachelor’s (or equivalency) and 6 years of directly related work experience in DevOps; Or a Master’s (or equivalency) degree and 4 years of directly related work experience in DevOps.
+ Assumes work equivalency (1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience).
Successful candidates should have experience in the following:
+ 3+ years of AWS /Cloud experience.
+ 3+ years of container orchestration experience (ideally using Kubernetes).
+ Advanced use of HELM , YAML , Bash and PowerShell scripting.
+ Implementing and supporting DevOps pipelines using GitLab and Octopus Deploy.
+ Containerizing applications using Docker, preferably those comprised of a React front-end and . NET back-end.
+ Using Kubernetes ( HELM ) for container orchestration.
+ Experience with AWS including EC2, ECR , Load balancing, S3, VPC , etc.
+ Experience working with a security team to implement AWS /Cloud hardening/monitoring tools
+ Migrating on-prem services to AWS .
+ Using GitLab for repository management, GitLab CI/CD, configuring GitLab Runners, running DinDs via the pipeline.
+ Parameterizing and automating environment configuration settings.
+ Experience working with a security team to follow DevSecOps practices.
+ Understanding hybrid cloud environments..
+ Experience with systems administration in Linux (preferably Rocky) and Windows environments.
+ Experience with C#, . NET , and JavaScript (specifically React) is a bonus.
+ Experience decoupling monolithic . NET repos is a bonus.
Preferences
8 years in a DevOps position implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid cloud environment will be considered in lieu of education and experience requirement.
