Job Description:

We're actively seeking DevOps Engineers who share our enthusiasm for building cutting-edge products using automation across AWS and on-premises infrastructure, as well as leveraging emerging technologies. As a DevOps engineer, your role is pivotal in ensuring seamless collaboration between development and operations teams, ultimately delivering high-quality software products in the cloud environment. You will collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in AWS/Cloud with automation with Infra/Pipeline/Config as Code. You will share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community.
Essential Functions:1. Automates Solutions: Engineers automated solutions, including continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines. Implements automated testing practices to ensure software quality. Focuses on monitoring and observability to maintain robust systems.
2. Collaboration and Cloud-Based Solutions: Collaborates closely with product managers and cross-functional teams. Delivers cloud-based solutions that meet high standards of performance, security, and scalability.
3. Programming Languages and Tools: Utilizes a variety of programming languages and tools, including: Bash, Powershell and Python for development; Container Orchestration services such as ECS, Docker and Kubernetes; a range of AWS tools.
4. Quality Improvement and Efficiency: Develops solutions that enhance quality, delivery speed, and efficiency. Prioritizes automation technologies to improve customer and employee experiences.
5. SDLC and CI/CD Expertise: Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Works with CI/CD pipelines and related tools to streamline software delivery.
6. Production Support and Issue Resolution: Resolves production issues promptly, engaging IT and vendors as needed. Provides workday and after-hours support, including troubleshooting and problem correction.
7. Collaboration and Best Practices: Collaborates with program owners and business units to implement enhancements. Contributes to automation portfolios and participate in weekly discussions. Implements best practices across the organization.
8. Security and Infrastructure: Learns and implements new automation technologies by analyzing technical specifications. Builds and configures supporting infrastructure while adhering to security best practices.
9. Root Cause Analysis and Version Control: Conducts root cause analysis for application issues. Coordinates resolution efforts with vendors, internal IT, and users. Manages code repositories effectively using version control systems like Git.
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems or a relevant discipline preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
2 years of DevOps/SRE/Cloud/IT Operations/SysAdmin engineering experience required
1 year year of experience supporting cloud service; preferably AWS, CGP, Azure required
1. Any AWS/Azure/GCP Certification (developer, solution architect, networking, infrastructure).
2. Knowledge of AWS Services: proficiency in various AWS services such as EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, and others is essential for deploying and managing infrastructure in AWS Cloud.
3. DevOps Tools: familiarity with popular DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and Terraform is necessary to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
4. Scripting and Programming: proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, enables the creation of custom automation scripts and development of infrastructure-as-code solutions.
5. Networking Concepts: understanding of networking concepts, including VPC, subnets, security groups, load balancers, and VPNs, facilitates the design and implementation of reliable and scalable network architectures.
6. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are crucial to identify and resolve issues related to infrastructure, security, performance, or scalability, ensuring smooth operations and timely resolution of incidents.
7. Strong communication skills: In a technology transformation role, it is crucial to be able to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including team members, project managers, and clients. Clear and concise communication helps ensure everyone is on the same page and can contribute to the successful implementation of a cloud DevOps infrastructure.
8. Problem-solving skills: As a cloud DevOps infrastructure engineer, you will encounter various challenges and issues that require quick and effective problem-solving skills. Being able to think critically, analyze information, and come up with innovative solutions is essential in this role.
9. Adaptability and flexibility: The cloud technology landscape is constantly evolving, and a technology transformation role requires the ability to adapt and embrace change. Being open to new ideas, learning new tools and technologies, and being flexible in approach are important soft skills for success in an AWS Cloud DevOps Infrastructure Engineering job.
10. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
11. Hands-on experience with CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) pipelines and tools such as AzureDevOps Pipeline, Github Actions, Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $86,961 - $120,919. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
