Must-Have Skills:
- Jenkins or Bamboo or Azure DevOps, UNIX/Linux, Puppet or Chef or Ansible or Rundeck or Terraform, Oracle 11g or SQL server or equivalent DB experience, AppDynamics and Splunk
- Intermediate to senior level experience with configuration management tools like puppet
- Intermediate to senior level shell scripting and programming experience
- Experience with version control systems like GIT
- Build-promote-deploy pipeline integration experience & associated toolset expertise
- Driven to continuously improve manual processes through automation
- A strong focus on business outcomes
- Highly driven and self-directed
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems using an analytical approach; decisive, fast moving; quick and constructive resolutions of conflicts; and a can-do mentality
- Solid understanding of software application builds and deployments
- Provide technical capabilities to troubleshoot, identify root cause and resolve complex problems related to Retail solutions
- Provide technical assistance to level 2 and level 1 teams as needed in troubleshooting related problems
Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in IT
- 1+ years of experience with automation tools
- 2+ years of experience with scripting languages
- 2+ years of experience in Dev Ops role
- Experience with software configuration management systems and source code version control systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the cross functional engineering team to design, build and support automated processes enabling seamless delivery of the SDLC including system builds and software deployment
- Own the Enterprise Job Scheduling tool (CA Workload Automation/DSeries) administration/ upgrades/patching
- Create and maintain Continuous Integration Processes, Deployment Scripts, Server Spin-Up/Terminate Scripts and Scripts for basic server operations
- In addition to automation responsibilities, own Dev Ops functions such as Install/setup/administer application servers and supporting tools (e.g.,JBOSS, JIRA, Bamboo, GIT, Confluence)
- Ensure production stability and maintain a high level of urgency and responsiveness in the event of production problems or other high-impact issues
- Be responsible for implementation of Continuous Delivery vision resulting in rapid, low-risk releases and improved velocity
- Apply and promote patches.
- Design, implement and produce clear documentation on technical architecture and processes
- Partners with all areas of IT to drive improvement
- Participate in oncall rotation to ensure server/application uptime
