IOWN Renewable Energy, Inc. is seeking a talented and motivated Development Engineer with a background in Electrical Engineering to join our dynamic development team! The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development of utility-scale solar, wind, and standalone storage projects. Key responsibilities include supporting interconnection applications, creating and reviewing single-line diagrams, developing project layouts, and managing and coordinating with consultants. Responsibilities
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Interconnection Applications: Prepare and manage interconnection applications for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory and utility requirements.
- Single Line Diagrams: Develop and review single line diagrams for electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Layouts: Design and optimize electrical layouts for renewable energy projects across multiple technologies.
- Consultant Management: Coordinate and manage external consultants, ensuring timely and quality delivery of engineering services.
- Project Development: Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to support the successful development and execution of renewable energy projects.
- Engineering Support: Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept through to construction and commissioning.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs and applications comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on project development.
- Familiarity with reviewing interconnection studies and power flow models.
- Ability to analyze power flow and system impact studies for interconnection of utility scale solar, wind, and storage projects.
- Strong knowledge of interconnection processes and requirements.
- Proficient in creating and interpreting single line diagrams and electrical layouts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- A deep understanding of the energy industry and the regulatory environment is a plus.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability.
- Organized, diligent, and able to track and manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis.
- Ownership of workflows to meet deadlines and budgets.
