JOB SUMMARY: The Development Coordinator will support Goodwill Central Oklahoma’s fundraising, development, and community engagement efforts. This includes managing donor databases, supporting event management, overseeing grant-related tasks, providing administrative support to Goodwill’s GenG Emerging Leaders board, and assisting with community outreach and volunteer coordination. This position is vital to building solid relationships with donors, partners, and volunteers while enhancing the visibility and impact of Goodwill’s mission.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Database Management: Oversee the donor management system using Classy and Virtuous to track contributions, manage donor relationships, and ensure accurate data reporting.

Event Support: Assist in planning and executing year-round engagement initiatives and events, including Goodwill’s largest annual fundraiser, Work the Runway. Coordinate logistics, donor engagement, and post-event follow-up to maximize success.

Grant and Impact Support: Manage grant-related activities, including tracking deadlines, managing grant calendars, and preparing smaller grant applications.

GenG Emerging Leaders Board Support: Provide administrative assistance to Goodwill’s GenG Emerging Leaders board, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and facilitating communication between board members and leadership.

Marketing and Communications Support: Collaborate with the marketing team on donor newsletters, event-related content, and fundraising materials. Create and distribute marketing content that promotes Goodwill’s mission and programs to donors and the community.

Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordination: Coordinate outreach efforts and support volunteer recruitment and management for Goodwill events and programs, engaging with community partners and volunteers.

Donor Stewardship: Coordinate meetings, draft correspondence, and ensure timely communication and follow-up to assist in cultivating relationships with donors.

Administrative Duties: Provide general administrative support to the development team, including scheduling, document management, and special projects as needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or event coordination.

Proficiency in CRM and fundraising platforms such as Classy, Virtuous, and other donor management systems.

Strong writing and communication skills, with experience drafting grant proposals, impact reports, and marketing materials.

Preferred experience with design tools such as Canva and Adobe Express and proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets is highly valued.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This work requires the following physical activities:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work in climate-controlled atmosphere majority of the time.

Requires some local travel providing own transportation.

Works 40 hours per week or more when required.

Requires availability to work a variable schedule with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
