We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Permanent Development Chemist to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative solutions and cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Polymer Chemistry, experience as a development chemist, and an understanding of PVC Compounding. This role requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct research and development activities in polymer chemistry, focusing on PVC compounding.
2. Develop new materials and improve existing ones to meet the needs of our engineering projects.
3. Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and other team members to design and develop new products or improve existing ones.
4. Conduct laboratory experiments and analyze results to evaluate the properties and performance of new materials.
5. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to share findings and recommendations with team members and stakeholders.
6. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all research and development activities.
7. Stay current with the latest developments in polymer chemistry and related fields to maintain a competitive edge.
8. Contribute to the creation of patents for new materials or processes developed.
9. Participate in the scale-up of developed materials from lab to production scale.
10. Support troubleshooting efforts in production and provide technical expertise as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a development chemist in the manufacturing industry.
3. Solid understanding and hands-on experience with PVC compounding.
4. Strong knowledge of polymer chemistry, including the properties, synthesis, and characterization of polymers.
5. Demonstrated ability to conduct laboratory experiments, analyze results, and make recommendations based on findings.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
8. Proficient in using various software and tools for data analysis and report preparation.
9. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. Commitment to staying current with the latest developments in polymer chemistry and related fields.
11. Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in the engineering industry.
