Development Coordinator
La Rabida Children’s Hospital is hiring a full-time Development Coordinator for our Fund Development and External Affairs Department in Chicago, IL.

Job Summary:
The Development Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Department of Development and External Affairs, which encompasses the Vice President of the Department, Individual Giving Officer, Volunteer Services Manager, Special Events Manager, Grants Manager, Director of Communications & Media Relations, Media Arts Specialist, Communications Specialist and Database Administrator.
Essential Development Coordinator Functions:
- Maintains office files, databases, and coordinates all mass mailings including event collateral materials, as well as maintains departmental budget information and processes all invoices & expense reports
- Prepares a variety of materials, correspondence, reports, graphics, edits, collates, assembles documents, charts, slides, presentations and makes copies upon reques
- Maintains inventory of brochures and updates signage and bulletin boards, including special guest welcomes
- Serves as main point of contact for development office inquiries, i.e. donations, in-kind giving, etc.
- Serves as support to Database Administrator and provides back up support with batching and acknowledgments during high volume periods and absences
- Prepares expense reports for department staff as requested
- Prepares & records actions into Raiser’s Edge for VP and fundraising team
- Requests prospect research on fundraising prospects
- Helps with hospital and fundraising events including donation solicitation.
- Sorts, prioritizes and distributes mail, as well as updates all department contact information
- Orders all office supplies for the department and maintains an inventory
- Manages ordering La Rabida swag for the hospital including researching items for quality and pricing
Volunteer Department
- Scan volunteer personnel files for electronic filing system
- Provide administrative support including mailings and letters, ordering and tracking supplies, faxing and assembling orientation folders
- Sends out volunteer packet upon request and fills out form with potential volunteer information
- Back up PR team with photography requests
- Processes and executes orders for printing and laminating
