About the Job
Our client, nonprofit organization located in Boston, is seeking a Development Assistant to join their team for 6+ months. The schedule for this role is 8:30am-4:30pm or 9am-5pm and totals 35 hours per week. It is compensating $27-$28 an hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary Coordinator for related meetings and events; manage event processes and ensure that all tasks are completed on time.
- Support the team with logistics, outreach and reporting for team initiatives and programs.
- Provide administrative support to the team including calendar management, scheduling meetings, invoice payments, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Maintain accurate and updated constituent data in Salesforce
- Work closely with the other Development Coordinators to ensure portfolios meet internal fundraising goals.
- Represent nonprofit externally by providing on- and off-site support for events and other activities as needed.
- Perform other special projects as assigned by Supervisor Director
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years fundraising and development operations experience, including with events
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills; self-motivation, ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines and effectively work with stakeholders to provide materials in a timely manner.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, creative, entrepreneurial environment.
- Interest and ability to work independently, creatively, and flexibly in a dynamic environment.
- Flexible and adaptable to changes and shifting priorities while handle multiple priorities at one time to meet deadlines.
- Take the initiative on existing and new work, solve problems and proactively move projects forward with little supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in Windows environment- including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point- and Salesforce. Blackbaud a plus.
