About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to provide expert-level technical assistance for desktop applications and hardware. This role requires extensive knowledge of desktop technology, including Windows operating systems, desktop applications, Multi-Function Devices (print/fax/copier/scanner), and wireless devices such as Android phones, iPhones, and iPads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues from the internal Service Desk.
- Utilize extensive experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.
- Independently perform a variety of desktop-related tasks and resolve end-user issues.
- Serve as a desktop technology expert, offering day-to-day support and guidance.
- Potentially lead and direct the work of others.
- Exhibit a high degree of creativity, self-direction, and prioritization.
Qualifications:
- Expert-level experience in a Desktop Support role.
- Proficiency with Remote Desktop Management Tools.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Superior customer service skills with excellent oral and written communication.
- Proficiency in MS Office products and Active Directory Tools.
- General understanding of Microsoft MECM/SCCM for patch management, software deployment, and inventory management.
- Experience with installation and maintenance of PCs.
- Knowledge of VMware Horizon, VMware Workstation, Microsoft VPC, or similar products.
- Mobile device management experience (iPad, iPhone, Android).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for all hardware and application support.
- Familiarity with Mac OS X and MS Windows 10.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.50/hr.
