Position Summary
The IT Support Technician provides technical support for IT operations and users of technology at the corporate office(s).
Primary Responsibilities
Provide support to users of technology with a focus on delivering superb customer service, following up with other departments as needed to ensure that all support issues are adequately addressed in a timely manner.
Fulfill IT support requests; troubleshoot PC hardware, software, and mobile device issues. Some examples of support requests include setting up user access to printers, configuring email, setting up multifactor authentication (MFA) and trying to help resolve basic applications / infrastructure / mobile device-related issues.
Support IT operations by helping to repair and replace damaged hardware, identifying and resolving network issues, troubleshooting issues with teleconferencing equipment, etc.
Troubleshoot basic connectivity issues such as connections to corporate Wifi systems, LAN ethernet connectivity, and remote access VPN.
Procure hardware / software as needed to support business needs.
Required Qualifications
College degree in a related field or 2 years of related work experience in network and computer hardware configuration / troubleshooting / support position.
Solid verbal and written skills, appropriate for a customer-facing role.
Attention to detail; ability to prioritize, track, and resolve multiple concurrent support requests in a time-efficient manner.
Demonstrate the ability to work with limited supervision while performing duties and be a strong team player.
Preferred Technical Expertise
Experience with Windows 10 / 11 configuration and support.
Familiarity with Windows server platforms and Microsoft Active Directory operations.
Familiarity with cloud solutions like Microsoft 365.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts (IP subnets, DNS, DHCP, etc).
Experience with Cisco switches (a plus – but not required).
