Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Technician with experience in both Apple and Windows environments. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and efficiency of our desktop systems, providing technical support to end-users, and ensuring a seamless IT experience across our organization. This position is onsite the first few weeks for training then 2-3 days remote per week.
Responsibilities:
End-User Support:
- Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues on both Apple and Windows platforms.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving desktop-related problems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal productivity.
System Installation and Configuration:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems, software applications, and peripheral devices for both Mac and Windows platforms.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure compatibility and integration of systems.
Hardware Maintenance:
- Perform hardware diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades on desktops, laptops, and other peripherals.
- Manage inventory of desktop hardware and accessories, ensuring adequate stock levels.
Software Management:
- Coordinate software installations, updates, and patches on both Apple and Windows systems.
- Stay informed about the latest software releases and updates to ensure a secure and up-to-date computing environment.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to safeguard desktop systems and sensitive data.
- Collaborate with the IT security team to conduct regular security audits and address any vulnerabilities.
