Alexander Technology Group is working with a client who is looking to hire an IT Desktop Support Technician to join their team in Exeter, NH. This position requires being on-site 5 days per week.
IT Support Specialist
Position Overview:
Provide first-line support for in-house and remote staff by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining computer systems, and assisting with IT projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve computer, server, and network issues.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and related tasks.
- Log and document resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Review, evaluate, and route incoming service desk requests.
- Manage and track service requests, ensuring timely resolution.
- Perform software upgrades and install new hardware with authorization.
- Support upgrades and maintenance for various devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones.
- Coordinate equipment loans and shipments to remote sites.
- Develop and maintain operating procedures for MIS operations.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of IT experience in AD, networking, and desktop support.
- Proficient in desktop/server operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.
- Advanced knowledge of WAN/LAN and laptop/desktop hardware.
- Familiarity with Windows 10 and later environments.
