Desktop Migration Technician for Windows 11 Upgrade Project

Hiring: 1 Desktop Migration Lead and 1 Desktop Migration Tech

Expected start: 12/2/24

Overview:

We are seeking experienced Desktop Migration Technicians (2) to assist with our upcoming Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrade project. This project will involve the deployment of upgrades to approximately 2,200 machines and providing essential on-site support to address any system issues that may arise post-upgrade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-the-ground technical support for the Windows 11 upgrade rollout.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues encountered during and after the upgrade process.
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the smooth transition of systems and minimal disruption to end users.
• Document issues, solutions, and user feedback to aid in process improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism when interacting with end users.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in field support or IT support roles, particularly with large-scale system upgrades or migrations.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to OS upgrades, device compatibility, and user configurations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and end users.
