About the Job
- Senior Desktop Engineer designs, maintains, and troubleshoots operating system images and task sequences for a variety of physical and virtual platforms
- Packages and executes application deployments using Microsoft's standard installer technology (MSI) and transforms (MST) using industry-standard tools
- Performs advanced troubleshooting on desktop/laptop-related issues using industry-standard tools such as ProcMon and Process Explorer
- Manages and maintains user profile management products such as VMware
- Writes and maintains scripts using industry-standard scripting languages including VBScript and PowerShell
- Configures, deploys, and monitors OS and application updates through Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and other delivery mechanisms
- As a Senior Desktop Engineer, you will manage and troubleshoot Group Policy throughout the enterprise with a focus on application delivery and workstation management
- Recommends and implements improvements to desktop architecture and design
- Other duties as deemed appropriate by the manager
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred
- At least three years of experience creating and maintaining operating system images using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and third-party tools
- At least three years of experience using MECM and WSUS or equivalent for OS patching, application packaging, updates, and maintenance
- Expert knowledge with tool AdminStudio, PSAppDeployToolkit, Advanced Installer and Orca
- Windows 10/11 Enterprise operating system features, settings, and installation
- Active Directory, Group Policy, and their use for managing user and computer objects
- Microsoft Office 365 configuration and administration
- Microsoft Intune configuration and administration
- Ability to write scripts in PowerShell and/or VBScript
- Microsoft Certifications are preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
