About the Job
We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our largest clients for a position of Deskside Engineer, to work in Kansas City, KS.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on end-user support for Windows PC and Mac-related issues.
- Manage incident tickets through Service Now, including assignment and resolution.
- Support meeting rooms, including troubleshooting TV's, Polycom, and other audio/video conferencing hardware.
- Assist in new user onboarding and prepare necessary IT equipment.
- Follow technical guides for retiring and wiping old devices, working alongside asset managers.
- Follow technical guides for imaging and configuring new PCs.
- Resolve end-user issues related to hardware and software.
- Take detailed notes and gather information on issues for ticket documentation in Service Now.
- Demonstrate a proactive mindset and eagerness to learn, with enthusiasm for helping others.
- Be open to receiving additional training from team members or attending available training sessions.
- Provide support for all flavors of client operating systems, including Windows and Mac.
- Support iOS and other handheld devices.
- Provide support for Microsoft Office Suite, including Office 365 online and desktop applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues on various platforms, particularly Dell and Mac PCs.
- Demonstrate working technical knowledge of multiple technology services to address downtime issues, deploy new and loaner laptops, and answer questions about various devices and peripherals.
Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in end-user support for Windows PC and Mac-related issues.
- Proficiency in managing incident tickets through Service Now.
- Ability to support meeting rooms and audio/video conferencing hardware.
- Familiarity with new user onboarding and IT equipment preparation.
- Technical proficiency in imaging and configuring new PCs.
- Strong problem-solving skills for resolving hardware and software issues.
- Excellent note-taking and documentation skills.
- Proactive mindset with a passion for learning and assisting others.
- Willingness to receive additional training and expand technical knowledge.
- Knowledge of client operating systems, including Windows and Mac.
- Familiarity with iOS and other handheld devices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Office 365.
- Technical knowledge of hardware platforms, particularly Dell and Mac PCs.
- Ability to address downtime issues and deploy new equipment effectively.
