Job Summary
The Desk Monitor provides the first point of contact for an assigned Community. The Desk Monitor schedules appointments, gives information to callers and visitors, and performs clerical and administrative support to Community Manager and Assistant Community Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains positive rapport and communication with residents, co-workers, manager, Portfolio Manager, corporate staff, regulatory agencies, the Board of Directors (if contacted) and other community constituents.
- Greets scheduled visitors and escorts to appropriate area or person.
- Answers and screens manager's telephone calls and arranges conference calls.
- Maintain entry log.
- Contact appropriate authorities in case of emergency.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- One year of administrative or security experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 is preferred
- Ability to quickly learn the organization’s systems is required.
- Ability to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
- CCH conducts background checks on all candidates who have received a conditional job offer. Satisfactory completion of background check is a requirement of employment with CCH.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
Reporting + Organizational Relationships
This position will report directly to the Community Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.
Compensation & Classification
CCH is committed to paying competitive wages. The salary range for this position is $16.00 - $21.16 / hourly in California and $15.53 - $20.55 outside of California. Based on CCH’s compensation philosophy, new hires are typically brought in at the minimum of the salary range. CCH has a competitive benefits package with health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 8% of an employer contribution for retirement, and more. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position is based on site at Woodland Christian Towers, located at 600 E. Tidwell Rd, Houston, TX 77022.
