Position type: Full-time - Contract

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Newport News, VA

As a Designer/Drafter, you will:

· Analyze digital design data and utilize these products in conjunction with build plans to create quality and accurate Visual Work Instructions (VWIs).

· Interprets and adds design elements and portions of systems for VWIs to meet manufacturing and installation requirements.

· Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, Teamcenter, NX, SAP, NGP and TDP. Incorporates required changes as applicable.

· Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.

· Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client -satisfaction goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have:

· Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline.

· Competency with computers,

· 3D software experience,

· General knowledge of piping and/or electrical systems.

· Ability to learn,

· Team player,

· Adaptability to change.

Pay Range*: $23 - $30 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
