What You'll Do:
- Be the mastermind behind the design and development of body parts, from conceptual sketches to production-ready plans.
- Utilize your 3D CAD expertise to design and engineer parts, assemblies, and entire vehicles that not only meet rigorous testing standards but also stay within budget.
- Craft clear and concise 2D drawings to streamline quoting and fabrication processes.
- Transform yourself into a design research detective, gathering and analyzing information to identify the most optimal design solutions.
- Channel your inner MacGyver to brainstorm ingenious solutions for development roadblocks and craft groundbreaking new designs.
- Foster a collaborative spirit you'll work hand-in-hand with various teams, departments, and even external partners to champion the development of your assigned parts.
- Ensure designs meet all testing requirements and adhere to strict timelines.
- Keep everyone in the loop! Regularly present project updates to executives following the stage-gate process.
- Lead design review sessions, providing insightful solutions and progress reports.
Who You Are:
- Hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (bonus points for Mechanical Engineering!).
- Boast at least 3 years of experience designing products for injection and compression molding.
- Possess a deep understanding of various plastic materials like SMC, DLFT, PP, ASA, and PA.
Bonus Points for:
- Acing the art of design problem-solving, especially when it comes to tackling testing challenges.
- Having hands-on experience building and testing RVs (we love go-getters!).
- Proficiency in Siemens NX CAD software (let's speak the same language!).
- A knack for exploring and implementing innovative new materials.
