Job Description:
" We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Product Designer to join our dynamic team at Customer. As a Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative products for our hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicles.
" You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate design concepts into tangible solutions that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements, with a focus on packaging, safety structures, and emissions systems.
Responsibilities:
" Conceptualize, design, and package automotive emissions systems and related components using Catia V5 software.
" Design and detail emission systems components, ensuring compatibility with vehicle architecture and regulatory requirements.
" Package, design, and detail safety structures and related components to enhance vehicle safety and crashworthiness.
" Collaborate with engineering teams to develop innovative packaging solutions that optimize space utilization, weight distribution, and thermal management.
" Support the build and integration of emission systems and safety structures during prototype and production phases.
" Conduct design reviews and iterations based on feedback from stakeholders, customers, and manufacturing partners.
" Generate detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, renderings, and drawings to communicate design intent and facilitate manufacturing processes.
" Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source materials, components, and manufacturing services for emission systems and safety structures.
" Ensure that design solutions meet performance, reliability, and cost targets while adhering to quality standards and design guidelines.
" Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure the successful implementation of design solutions.
" Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements for automotive emissions systems and safety structures.
Qualifications:
" Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
" Proven experience in product design and packaging, preferably in the automotive or transportation industry.
" Proficiency in Catia V5 software for automotive design and packaging.
" Strong understanding of automotive emissions systems, safety structures, and related components.
" Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for automotive safety and emissions.
" Experience in designing for manufacturing, assembly, and integration.
" Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
" Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
