Design Engineer for Cable Harness Manufacturing Company in Morgan Hill, CA at OSI Engineering

Join a leading manufacturing company in cable harness industry. As a Design Engineer, you’ll transform electrical schematics and 2D/3D models into precise, fully developed designs. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled design engineer to work remotely while collaborating with top-tier professionals on innovative projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed wire harness designs using NX and Capital Electra.
• Translate end-user schematic logic, wire lists, and BOMs into complete drawings.
• Produce accurate 2D and 3D models and ensure all wire codes and specifications are correctly presented.
• Collaborate with various clients, adhering to their specific design requirements and standards.
• Ensure that wire harness designs meet IPC standards and follow compliance requirements.
• Work with project teams to manage multiple harness designs, aiming to deliver 10–20 designs per week.

Requirements:

• Hands on experience with NX and Capital Electra is mandatory.
• Experience with both 2D and 3D CAD design, with specific focus on wire harness design.
• Strong understanding of wiring harness components, terminals, seals, and integrations.
• Basic knowledge of IPC standards related to wiring harnesses.
• Prior experience working in industries like medical or military with an emphasis on wiring harness design is a nice to have.

Education:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field preferred.

Remote (Must work California hours; 8am-5pm PST)
