Design Engineer - Sterling Engineering

1-year contract with direct hire possibility

About the Role:

Build and maintain relationships with operating companies and innovation teams. Lead project scoping and ensure timely, high-quality implementation with a focus on speed and risk management. Oversee design and release of engineering drawings for product/process improvements. Design RV sub-systems, equipment, and materials for new products and processes. Create 3D models and support prototype builds from concept to production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, suppliers, and vendors. Identify process and design improvements, and support operational training. Provide regular project status updates and contribute to operational improvements.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Manufacturing/production experience is a must.
• Self-starter.
• Experience working with vendors and/or being customer-facing.
• SolidWorks experience.
• Comfortability handling project management work.
