1. Creating and developing 3D models for manufacturing processes using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
2. Conducting comprehensive design reviews and implementing necessary changes to optimize product performance.
3. Applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to ensure efficient production.
4. Conducting design testing and making necessary adjustments to ensure product quality and performance.
5. Interpreting blueprints and using engineering analysis to evaluate design feasibility and effectiveness.
6. Collaborating with other engineers and departments to streamline manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
7. Utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste and inefficiencies in the manufacturing process.
8. Continuously researching and implementing new design engineering techniques and technologies to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Design Engineer role will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in 3D modeling and design software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
4. Extensive knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
5. Experience in conducting design reviews and testing.
6. Ability to interpret blueprints and conduct thorough engineering analysis.
7. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience in streamlining these for efficiency.
8. Lean Six Sigma certification or experience is highly desirable.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
10. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
