What You'll Do:
- As a Design Engineer II, you will play a critical role in the product development process, contributing to the design and engineering of new products or systems.
- You will leverage your expertise to develop innovative solutions, conduct analysis and testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring designs from concept to production.
Job Functions:
- Design Engineer will lead the design and development of new products or systems, from concept to production.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed drawings and models of components and assemblies.
- Conduct engineering analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA), tolerance analysis, and simulation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure design requirements are met.
- Design Engineer will participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
- Identify and resolve design issues and challenges through troubleshooting and iterative testing.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in product design, engineering, or a related role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo).
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and design fundamentals.
- Experience with engineering analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Experience with rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing technologies.
